My husband has a 2004 dodge ram 1500. He owes about $22,000 on it. He paid $30,000 for it. He bought it before we were married. We have to sale it in order for us to get a house. We have put it in the auto trader for the past 3 months and we haven't had 1 call on it. We are willig to let it go for $21,000 and it has low mileage too. Where or what is the best way to sell it? Any tips?

A lot depends on the truck. Is it a 2 wheel drive, or a 4X4?

what trim level? Regular cab, extended or quad? What engine and transmission?

Unless the truck is fully loaded, it seems that you are asking too much for it! If it has been in auto trader for 3 months with no calls, the price is most likely the reason.

Take the truck to a dealer or to Carmax, and see what they offer you for it. That will be true wholesale. You can figure that the retail value of your truck will be about $1500 to $2000 over that figure, at the most.

I can't believe you're making your husband sell his pride&joy!Unbelievable!!!!

Put it on Car soup..It will go fast! or Beepbeep.com

See what Car max will do for you. They will buy it

"...we have to SELL it..."

Sale is a noun or an adjective, not a verb. Sell is a verb, noun, or adjective, depending on its use in a particular sentence. Honestly, when I read illiterate English, I usually just ignore the writer. Why? It's just a general reaction to a noxious stimulus, I suppose.

Determine the reasonable value of the vehicle using Kelley Blue Book, NADA, and your own local classified ads. Ask four new and used car dealers how much each would offer you to buy the truck outright. Use this range of values as your absolute baseline value. Proceed from there.

Good luck.

Learn the English language. People will pay more (favorable) attention to you if you do.
